Skylark Group has a total of approximately 3,100 store locations in Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and the U.S. This includes family restaurants, buffet restaurants, restaurants at various facilities, and specialty stores specializing in Western-style confectionery and prepared/delicatessen foods. We develop businesses that take maximum advantage of scale and diversity.Through our unique and integrated supply chain, from product development and procurement of ingredients to manufacturing, logistics and serving of dishes to customers, we deliver products that satisfy customers safely and at an affordable price.

Skylark ("Hibari" in Japanese) is a bird that flies high in the air, toward the clear blue sky.
In 1962, Kotobuki Foods Ltd., the predecessor of Skylark opened a small dried foods store on a corner of the Hibarigaoka housing development in Hoya City (now Nishi-Tokyo City).
Later, in 1970, the very first "Skylark" family restaurant was opened at Kunitachi in Fuchu City. The name Skylark was derived from the place of the Group's original founding, Hibarigaoka, with the meaning of not forgetting our founding entrepreneurial spirit.
